Wifey is so happy. LOL. Just picked this up for $22.65 shipped. Seller claims it is Unc. Hope it isn't just cleaned. He does have 100% positive feedback on a lot of transactions though.

I wouldn't be especially optimistic based on those pictures.

To maintain 100% positive feedback, all he has to do is offer returns to anybody who isn't satisfied. As I understand it, if he can show that he offered you a return, and you leave non-positive feedback, he can get it removed.

 

Oh well, if it is just a cleaned dollar, it is a nice little chunk of silver anyway. Thanks for the info. on feedbacks. I wasn't aware. Glad I posted this.

 

Yeah, if you overpaid, it's only by a few bucks. Just don't go buying them by the dozen.

Well, she came in the mail today. The coin is much, much nicer than the pics. I put it under my magnification loop and I can't see any signs of cleaning. Everything is ultra sharp. I am far from being an expert like others here, but I THINK I'm correct.

NP. Some folks here have had good results stacking up books, and putting their phone on top of the stack with the camera peeping over the edge. If you get motivated, you might try that.

It is nice looking but new photos would help. Do your best please. It does not look cleaned but I do believe it has been dipped but all that is based on the photos you provided.

Gunner you gave it a good shot on the pics. I think if you perform exactly what you did taking the pics before except for 2 things. Take them in indirect sunlight (near a window) and turn off the flash on your phone. Then I think you'll nail it!

 

Jay, I give up. Here are possibly clearer wrong angle pics. I need practice. Be patient. LOL

 

At 22 dollars you didn't really overpay. Most raw Morgan Dollars sell around that price range anyway regardless of condition unless it's a cull.
