OMG!!!! i know i keep asking questions about DDO's but.... i am not seeing double, i am seeing triple!. i think 3 2's on date? with doubling in rest of date?? not listed on coppercoins. if i am right what would be estimated value? here is a pic of the trust this last pic is from a roll that is in a box under my bed. i have abou t 45 rolls so if i can get a confirmation on this last pic i am doing good
is that an unplated penny? it looks DD to me, but let's wait for the experts, i'm new ad learning the ropes of this stuff!
O.O can you post pics of the entire roll? you might have something here... and DDO, i believe is when you have double die, but it looks clean and ias if it was supposed to be like that, but don't quote me on that.
what you need to do with at least 4 of them is to send them in to the pcgs. it looks very legit to me. i have collected for at least 5 years, and if you found a whole roll, save them and wait for the pcgs to give you the definate answer.
so pay for it to be confirmed? i did not see a variety for this on coppercoins so what could i probably get if i threw one on ebay. pretty apparent doubling agreed? if this was a NEW variety would it make its value more? sorry...littled excited. not every day you find one let alone open a roll lol
well, i'd throw one, on ebay, send 3-4 to PCGS, and hold on to the rest of em! you fetch a lot on ebay, and PCGS says their fake... i didn't tell you anything , but if PCGS says their real, try and get a few in capsules and sell them on ebay then!
i'm not sure on prices, you'll have to wait until morning when a lot more people are on to tell you that. but i think they send you a packet once you have payed for it, and you send the packet back with the coins, i think, i don't know seeing as how i haven't had coins graded before. but i'd think that is how they'd do it.
I forgot. If it does get certified as a ddo how will i know its value? Will they put a price on it for me? does this last pic look like a ddo? if so....i have a WHOLE box
John Wexler charges $3, but I heard he is pretty backed up. Try Dr. James Wiles of CONECA (Combined Organization of Error Collectors of America), He used to charge $5. He is a leading expert who authenticates for all the grading services. Then at least you will know whether or not to spend the other $40 bucks to have it graded. Try edited - provide this info by PM that's the last e-mail address I have.
If you got a full roll wonder how many are going to be out there and will this not effect how much they will worth?
Noyce... i want one what series was you box from.. and whats bank and branch cause they may have more
Looks to me like strike doubling as well from the pics. If you could take some pics with a normal camera (where the color is more natural and without the glare) it'll help determine what you have. http://koinpro.tripod.com/Articles/OtherFormsOfDoubling.htm
Save your money for submitting for authentication and/or grading. It's machine doubling. Don't put any on eBay. It will make you look like just another of the fools that you often see members here "dissing". Chris
