Just found this in a roll 15 minutes ago...I know 1982 is notorious for weak strikes but this one really caught my eye. Thoughts?

What I immediately noticed is that "LIBERTY" is abnormally high and the rims are very thin, especially on the left side of the obverse.

Look at post #2. It is a lot more emphasized in hand.

It certainly does seem to have a strangely high relief.

Don't proof dies have higher relief? Maybe this was struck on a die meant for proofs.

Ahhh.. but, I think we are comparing apples to oranges, kinda tuff to compare a 41 silver quarter to a 82 ... Don't ya think?

The obverse is exactly the same through till the mid 80's.

Even more so in hand. It caught my eye immediately out of 40 other quarters sitting in the same pile.

There is nothing unusual about your 1982 D quarter.

Dunno, the first thing i noticed is that the "In" and "trust" seem blurbed together.
