    What was the mistake?

From what I've read another indicator is that the beads on the Small Beads Variety are noticeably smaller than the periods after the "D" and the "G". In the large bead variety the beads surrounding the rim are the same size or larger than the periods after the "D" and "G".

Yours seems to fit that description of the small beads?

Small bead shown here. Notice the "I" points to denticle. Large bead, the "I" points between denticle.

Isn't that what Siggi's is showing? Plus the beads on his are smaller than the dots after A & G? I'm sure not in the know on Canadian coins, but his second picture seems to show that (if that's his coin on the right).
