    Low mintage, 2000. I think you did fine. St. Martin is part of the Guadeloupe Islands ruled by the French. The coin is an Essai, 0.25505 ASW. Nice coin.

    I think its a coin of double thickness

    A pattern coin, usually for collectors, issued by French speaking countries. Note the denomination is 1/4 Euro.
    A double thick coin is called a Piefort, I see most often in United Kingdom.

    So, does anyone know what this coin would most likely be worth in this condition?

    It's a PF68 and it's toned.

    Yep Larson. Here is a Piedfort/Essai from France.

    Reverse says piedfort at the 9 o'clock position
