I just recently got some coins back from anacs for grading and some of them have "DETAILS" on the front of the slab. What does this mean, is there something wrong with it or is there something else like a variety? the paper work that came back said nothing, so i'm confused.:desk:
That means there is something wrong with the coins, usually cleaning or damage. They have neglected to "net grade" the coin. I grade this way myself. They have stated the grade as it relates to the details that remain on the coin, and then have stated separately that there is a problem. This is usually seen on a coin that is cleaned improperly.
I may be wrong, but I think it should also state the reason on the case. Look for "whizzed", or cleaned...something like that.
