Can anyone recommend a good desiccant or drying agent for safe deposit boxes or safe's? The other day at the bank some of my coin albums felt tacky. The same with some of my cheaper collections in my home safe. Its really hot and humid in the Northeast now. Thanks
Harry: I just collect those little bags of dissicant that you get with computer parts, leather good, etc. A small batch of them works very well.
Your local pharmacy will be a good source as well. Just ask if they will save the little canisters that come in pill bottles for you.
I use 3 of the 40 gram containers shown on this page in my safe and they seem to work well. You do have to reactivate them, but at least they're reusable.
