I ordered 1 roll each unc. Washington Dollars, it took about 4 weeks to get the P roll and now they have notified me that I will get the D roll in May. Does this make sense, I would think they would be producing the Adams coins by then? Am I likely to be shut out on these, I did buy 30 of each from another source and I have those, but I did want both rolls in mint wrappers.

I am fairly new to collecting, I decided that this would be the legacy I would leave my grandchildren, I am veryn diverse from some Morgans, some PF70 gold coins, the westward ho nickels, a bunch, of course the state quarters, again a bunch and then a wide range of older and newer coins, I do have a full set of 1937 to 1947 Walkers, probably average to slightly above condition. Could someone let me know if they think I am going in the right direction. I am not wealthy and usually add about $200.00 in coins per month?

If you want to leave a legacy, forget the modern stuff and try to buy silver coins, sets of lower graded washingtons, roosevelts, and franklins can be put together fairly cheaply. Some nicer date slabbed older coins will appreciate greater over a period of time than any of these ultra modern sets, IMO.

Yes it makes sense. There is rather drawn out process for the mint to ship orders and with very popular items it often takes a while for them to catch up.

As for what you are collecting, the best suggestion I can give you is to collect what you like. Collecting for profit seldom works out.

    Hi Ewasherman.

And welcome to our forum , you say in your post that you are fairly new to collecting and you ordered the coins from the mint was there a reason you did this ? I only ask because the coins from the mint and the coins from a bank are one in the same and bank wrapped rolls cost far less .

Now that is something I had no idea on, banks have the rolls at face value? what about mint and proof sets?

No mint and Proof sets at banks - but they certainly have the coins. They are not in mint wrappers however.

I've seen bank wrapped rolls on ebay going for $25.99 plus $5 shipping. That person is making about $6 on the same thing anyone can get at the bank
