The ANA "World's Fair of Money" is happening next week in Denver. There will be large number of ancient-coin dealers attending. I'll be there Wednesday and Thursday. Will any of you be there?
Bumping this thread in case anyone missed it. Surely @Valentinian and I won't be the only Ancients forum guys there?
I will not be there. Sounds like a great place to go in August. Denver forecast high = 73 - 84 F. Houston forecast = 89 - 95 F (and that's only because a "cold front" moves through). We will have a coin show next weekend - BELLAIRE COIN CLUB COIN & COLLECTABLE SHOW SATURDAY AUGUST 5th 9am - 5pm SUNDAY AUGUST 6th 9am - 3:30pm ARABIA SHRINE CENTER 10510 Harwin Drive Houston, Texas CHILDREN'S AUCTION - Saturday 1pm Scouts Collecting Merit Badge - Saturday 2pm http://coinshows.com/houston_bcc.html I will help with the youth auction. That is always a fun time. One of our members donated a partially filled Lincoln Cent book. This guy was pleased to buy it. You can see Bruce in the background was not busy at the book tables.
I live in the Denver area but work for a company which has engineering offices in both Denver and Houston. 95 F in Denver is hot but not unbearable and I usually take a nice walk at lunch even when the temperatures are in the 90s. Houston in 95 degree weather made me want to hide inside all day because the humidity made it 10x worse. I dunno how people who live there can stand it, I wanted to be on the next flight out as soon as I stepped out of the airport.
