Only a forum moderator has those keys, and usually doesn't use them. Threads just fade into the archive over time, or disappear with software updates.

The only two that will remove threads that are within the forum rules are Doug or Peter. In the time I have been here it has only been done a couple times that I am aware of. We all wish we could have some threads removed but they are there as informational for future members. Contact them via private message if you feel strongly enough about it.

Can a moderator delete likes? Because of a funny joke I need to delete 140 of them to find a truer #.

I had no idea people cared that much about "Likes."

    I wouldn't worry about it @Insider

As far as I know we do not have the ability to remove likes. Frankly, I am happy for that. Not worth our personal time to worry about IMO. Sorry

When you post on an online forum, you grant a non-exclusive but non-revocable license for the forum to display your words. The moment you click "Post," the forum owns the right to those words. You can legally repeat them elsewhere as much as you like, but you do not have the legal ability to require them to remove your post. It's theirs now. Some fora allow the practice of deleting threads, but they do not have to.

If you are banned, "likes" disappears :D.

@GDJMSP steals likes from me and gives them to himself. He's been doing it for years. :punch: :p

I'd offer to sell you mine, but I think it's only allowed on the B/S/T forums.

Okay, then, I'll sell someone a coin for $50 and give them a bonus gift of 500 Likes.

Well, if I knew I couldn't delete my posts, I wouldn't post here!

You had it too easy. We had to post from Commodore64's with dial up.

But still faster than an abacus with Dixie cups and a kite string for a modem.

    Never had a Commodore 64, I used a TRS-80 Model 1 with a 300 baud modem.

I had the earliest Macintosh and paid some gawdawful sum to have a 5mb hard drive. It was as big as a small record player. I was cooking on gas.
