Large cent minted in 1793. Reverse features a chain with 15 links representing the 15 states at the time.
I think Fugio Cents also had chains...I've only seen 1 in person...I wish I had put a down payment! Speedy
Pictures are worth lots of words - Click Here Always remember - if it is a coin that was made in the USA - you can find a picture of it HERE
Are non-US coins "made" by the U.S. Mint, such as post-war Belgian cents, Philippine coins, etc., pictured there too?
Not to my knowledge - I should have worded it differently. If it is or was a US coin - you can find it there.
I have always found this site to be fairly good at coming up with what I'm looking for in the way of coins. Just type in the coin description and hope for the best. Try it! http://www.google.com/imghp?hl=en&tab=wi&ie=UTF-8
GDJMSP posted a link to www.coinfacts.com, which as he mentioned, has great photographs of U.S. coinage. To add to that it should be noted that the site also has mintage numbers, weights, auction sale records and more. It really is an awesome resource.
