My boyfriend gave me some quarters to do some laundry. I found this in the stack and noticed that a few letters were missing, some gouges, and a lot of irregularities. It has a beautiful ping when it’s dropped. I think they forgot to clean out the die when this was struck.....otherwise it has the same qualities of other real quarters

It's always fun to find your first really damaged coin when you start getting interested in coins. 'Cause you think how much of an error it must be. But this is all post-mint damage (pmd) and the poor coin has no value other than 25 cents.

    bsting Never enough coins.lol

I am figuring some of the letters that were missing or light were either just from damage and possibly grease filled die.

But heck of a damaged quarter.lol

Thanks ya’ll. For a moment I thought it was manufactured overseas and thrown in the mix once it got here. If somebody did attempt to counterfeit, then they did a crappy job. But, hey, we are asked to bring our best of the worst, lol.
