So I know this isn't an error coin, but I figured you could help me out. This came up in my change and just noticed that the dime is like a deep dish pizza and smooth along the edge what did this?

This type of damage is referred to as a dryer coin. Others may call it a spooned (to make a ring) coin. you can be the judge on what you want to call it.

I think the pepperoni fell off when I took the sideways shot.

Dryer coin from rolling in a dryer. Did you ever go to a laundromat and hear something rolling in a dryer that was in use, well it was probably your coin,

LOL but upright? I thought it would only mess up the front of the coin. Thanks for the reply now I know.
