I may have an opportunity to buy 2 QEII British pre decimal coin/banknote sets in frames. The cost will be a fraction of the actual individual values.

I will have to buy sight unseen, so looking for forum members thoughts.

Does anyone have any experience at deconstructing these items?
Are the notes usually positioned without using adhesive?
Any other thoughts on leeching, fading QEii frame 2.jpg

I have not done any of these in a long time but most, in the past had acetate sleeves, or sleeves similar to stamp mounts which seemed to be pretty safe. If you can see no fading from the front then there should be none from the back. These mounts are usually open ended. It's a shame the seller could not carefully remove and replace the note with stamp tongs to get more pics. From these pics, looks like normal age related toning on the coins.

Don't know much about those but the pictured notes seem to be in little sleeves. I would imagine that the sleeve is what is attached to the backing, not the actual note.
