    And the story goes on. Of the roughly 1,400 coins found near Lava (all of which are in Interpol's database of stolen art objects), about 1,000 cannot be "found" any more. The French government has a list of 448 identified pieces that they are after. This year there have been several reports about seizures in Switzerland, as Swiss auction houses sold several (almost 100) of them. The big question is whether the dealers and their customers knew that the coins had been illegally "acquired" before. At least in some cases it is highly unlikely that the parties involved were not aware of this ...

    WoWiE! Simply beautiful...and a great story!
    A chuckled that in wiki it refers to Claudius ii Gothicus as Claude 2. Being called a Claude it's rough enough but he is also a #2!:facepalm:
