A country that is one of the easiest to find for the set, but took me some time-here we have a coin from Russia. Why did it take a while? The answer is simple-I just hadn't run into a coin I liked enough at a price I wanted to pay until this one came along. It's a fairly straightforward coin with a tiger on one side and the emblem of the Bank of Russia on the other. At one point I was a big fan of the Lunar Series from Australia's Perth Mint, so this takes me back to that collection (which has been mostly sold over the years). You can see the Perth version of the lunar tiger coin here: https://en.numista.com/catalogue/pieces17383.html Country Russia Denomination 3 Roubles Year 2010 Subject Year of the Tiger Composition Silver 0.925 Weight (gr) 33.94 Diameter (mm) 39 Mintage 15,000 Mint Moscow Mint
Those are great coins! I have a few more but this was the first to fit my set goal of silver coins from after independence. Below is another coin I picked up along with the tiger. This one is copper-nickel and from the Soviet era, so it does not fit the set but does find a place in my overall collection. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Petergof https://en.numista.com/catalogue/pieces10542.html
