1953 Lincoln penny can I claim the 3 in 1953 is DD ? Obviously it would be nice if LIBERTY was all double

    Just die erosion, very common.

The 1955 is also famous for the same effect.

Not PMD and not DD. Similar to 1955 P "Poorman's" Doubled Die as it was called back in the day. It actually has nothing to do with real doubling. This was often used as a filler in the old Whitman albums that included a space for the real 1955 doubled die as well as the 1972 doubled die. Thank goodness they took these two spaces out of their newer folders and albums as most people would never have been able to afford these on a normal budget.

I love things that can be seen with the naked eye, so I would definitely keep it, even if it was only worth a few cents.

Good eye Justyn. Especially looking through foreign coins.
