What's on the date of this dime? Also, the letter "G" of God? I am trying to get a better and closer picture. Thanks
Thank you Tyler. BTW Merc Crazy is Mint Doubling the same as Strike/Machine Doubling? I went over to Ken Potters Form of Doubling and saw an example of S/M Doubling.
I wouldn't go so far as to say worth a pretty penny. It IS rather interesting, but machine doubling does not bring much of a premium.
No apologies needed Merc Crazy. I just noticed that this coin I posted is pretty much thiner compared to other dimes. I don't have a scale to weight it, though.
This is what I meant when I said the coin is a little thinner. Also notice the difference in reeding. First coin to the left is a '95 followed by subject coin, 3rd coin is a '96, 97, 98, & '99 dime. Or am I just seeing things. Thanks
I like it, very nice example of Strike-Doubling, I would even go as far as to say that's the most extreme example I've ever seen. If you ever wanna get rid of it....
Thank you zach24. I have never sold a coin and right now I don't intend to do so. Nevertheless, should in the future I decide to do so, you'd get it. Now, could it be there is a double strike due to the thinest of the coin? Does the machine automatically detect if there is a weak strike on the first run? Any feedback please.
Cool Find, Next to the right of the six looks like a outline of a three?? Unless im seeing things, can you crop the pic more??
