For about 7 months I have been working on a Dansco 7070 Type Set. Recently I realized how subpar a lot of my coins were and this left me a bit annoyed. Now I am starting over and this excites me! My goal for this album is to have every single coin in the AU/MS range for all of the coins made in the late 18 and early 1900's and in the VF+ For all of the coins made in the late 17 and early 1800's. This is going to be a bit pricey and will take several years, but I am confident that the end results will be well worth it. The only exception will be a 1929 Standing Liberty Quarter that is very sentimental to me. I'll leave updates every once in a while.

Hmm... What dates to choose for each one of those holes?

Unless I had an idea of what my budget was for each one, that question would keep me thinking for a while.

Even if I did know my per-coin budget, it still might!

I'll probably look for the most common dates because a type set doesn't have to be about rarity.

You don't want to "get the best you can buy" for this album?

Getting slightly better dates (not necessarily the monster key-dates) might be a consideration of mine if/when I decide to start my own 7070.

Love the 7070 album! The only album I'm taking interest in, I might order one soon.

    Thanks,

I built this set three times. The first time, I had about 12K in it. Most of those came out and went in for grading. I should have never put some of those coins in a album. I no longer see albums as a safe way to store coins.

I agree sometimes they can get damaged. I think a problem with the old ones was the holes weren't always a great fit, but I wonder if they fixed that now.

Can you explain why you don't think they are?
