Daniel Carr Fake, I just Reported it!!

Hey Friends,
I just came across a fake DC Amero coin from Hungary. I let Daniel Carr know about it, he verified, then I decided I would report their posteriors, I mean butts. I wonder how many of those the ripoffs sold, just wondering out loud friends.

I'm not too familiar with Daniel Carr, nor why this is a fake. Care to inform the uninformed?

 

It's a blatant ripoff of DC's original design here:

At least they remembered to include his initials on the reverse.

You have to love it, a fake, faking a fake . Now how funny is that ...

Mr. Carr puts out the bait and here comes the fish .

 

Imitation is the greatest form of flattery. Good for Mr. Carr , He truely is a fine artist, and now he has proof.

He doesn't have to, I will. Unlike the government, Carr has intellectual property rights in his original designs.

You can like that or not. It remains true nonetheless.

Yet if anyone dares to call Carr's copying the "blatant ripoff" it is, endless crying ensues. I'm sorry, but I couldn't care less about his "intellectual property rights" in this case; what goes around comes around.

Now, if he could only remember to put his own initials on the reverse of his copies...

 

This piece is not a ripoff of anything...regardless of what you might think of his fantasy overstrikes, this is a different situation. This is an original artistic design that he created.

 

Yup, BB4C's blinding hate for Carr prevents him from seeing this as the "apples and oranges" case that it is.

 

Yeah, I caught the initials too! I bet the counterfeiter thought it was something to do with Washington DC., who knows! I'm sure that really pi'sd off Daniel. I hope the guy above found out why it's a ripoff! I copied the sellers pics cause I new the link would be gone, so there they are. lol

 

There is literally NOTHING that can be done to prevent the MANUFACTURE (in certain countries) of fake anything. They don't see it as a problem. They don't get it. All we can do is stop the selling of it into our shores.

As for this particular series of pieces, I don't care for Carr's human profiles one little bit. The eagle side is okay, I guess.

 

@Paul M., thanks for posting the images, you were right to copy them, I was wondering how good those images were.

This coin looks like a cheap counterfeit, it does not come close to the artistic quality of Carr's work of art.
