    I think so. Look closely at the area of Liberty's hip, and you'll see that the design bulges out a little bit from where it should. That part of the obverse was pushed out when whatever-it-was hit the reverse, and then wore down to the pattern you see.

    The coin is worn enough that it "could" have been a strike through originally, but in the current condition it is pretty hard to tell. No displaced metal, and something going on IN the void, makes it appear odd.
