Hello, I am new to collecting coins and came across this nickel. It doesn't have a date. It is dented inward an shows on the back side. but didn't know if I have anything special? Thanks in advance!!

It's most likely from the 1980's or 1990's.
They moved the mint mark to the obverse in 1968, and the design changed after 2003, but your coin does not look like it is 1960's or 1970's.
There aren't any valuable dates in the 1980's- 1990's D mint mark.
It's a nickel. Sometimes a missing date can be from a grease filled die error.
But in this case it looks damaged. It's a spender.
