D mint mark ?

i got this 1916 mercury dime from a bag of junk silver at lot sale and of course i had to inspect it

Not seeing a mint mark

Don't take this as "mean" @MisterEcoin but I don't see a coin.

 

Maybe I'm over optimistic, but I am willing to say he has a coin. What he doesn't have is a D mint mark....

 

I'm also wondering if he's a cicada.... he shows up every 7 years

 

A mintmark should be raised and very obvious if present.

Well, ya can't answer yes or no based on OP's pictures. For all I know I'm looking at the south end of a muskrat........

 

mint state musk rat? Would that be MR-63?
