In March the Czech Mint issued six circulation coins dated 2012 whose designs focus on the historical region of Moravia-Silesia. Their denominations are 1, 2, 5, 10, 20 and 50 koruna (CZK, Czech crowns).

The 1, 2 and 5 koruna are made of nickel-plated steel. The 10 koruna is struck in copper-plated steel. The 20 koruna has a core of steel coated with a copper-zinc alloy.

The 50 koruna is bimetallic: the core consists of steel encased by copper-zinc alloy; the ring is pure copper.
