    Hi, I'm very new to this. My grandmother passed away and I found this coin in amongst many. I have found that it is a civil war token dated 1863. E.S.Parker Dealer in Hats, Caps & Furs Niles, Michigan. I do not have a coin book or have easy access to one (checked the local libraries). Can someone help me with this? Thanks!

    One variety of this CWT is listed in my book as being valued at...

    VG=$8

    VF=$30

    EF=$40

    Unc=$70

    I don't know exactly which variety you have, and these prices are only a guideline, and not an indication of what you would be able to sell your token for.

    More Details on Token

    Andewah,

    This is a pretty good type of Civil War Token, and I can give you more information about yours if you want. Assuming it does not have two hats in the middle of the side you noted, I need to know more about the other side of the token, and the metal. I assume it is in copper, but this token is made in other metals as well. Is there "Union" on the other side, above the head? Do you have a scan available?
