    Hi All,
Here is one of several CWT tokens that I will post today. It looks like a picture of George Washington on the obverse and, to me, a novice, it looks like it's in pretty good shape. Any thoughts as to condition and/or value?
    Thanks! CWT - 1863 - George - Peace Forever - Obverse.jpg CWT - 1863 - George - Peace Forever - Reverse.jpg

The Fuld variety is 118 / 418. It is fairly common as an R-2. Given the damage, the piece has minimal value, maybe $5. It is historically interesting because it is a "copperhead" unpatriotic variety.

I know that I have beaten you up a bit with the condition issues, but here is the piece in my fairly small collection (a couple hundred pieces, there are 10,000 varieties, counting all of the pieces in various metals other than copper or bronze). This is the sort of condition that a fair number of collectors want.

I hate to disagree with the above poster, but I think pieces like this sell for $20-$25.

    Nice but it is damaged.
