A friend of mine found this $20 today. It has a "-" in front of the serial numbers. Can anyone give me some info on this? It is not a star note either. Dusty
Green sharpie? Negative roman numeral two? Actually. I'm not sure how that would get there. I'm quite curious now. It doesn't appear to be an ink smear. I don't believe the serial number heads would make contact in that position either without leaving more of a trace.
Could be a coincidental small ink spot/smear in that spot. I'm not aware of any special plate designation or experimental for the 2006 series.
About 13 years ago, I sold about 2 One dollar bills with a dash on the right side serial number, at the Memphis show back then I got about a hundred dollars each for them. I don't know the value now, but i made my money then.
Ok so we took this bill to a coin show close by today. They said for sure an error and they suggested that we send it to Fredrick J Bart and have him give his professional opinion on it. I now have this bill in my possession and took these photos here. I am going to contact him via email. Maybe nothing but it is for sure worth having a look at I think. Dusty
