Has anybody considered maybe a currency forum here? I don't want to stop chattin here, but, I don't have nothing to talk about now that i'm out of coin collecting, and onto currency..... Could bring in some more members too...
Post away about currency all ya like Penny - there are others here who collect currency. And that's what the Main Forum is for - discussion of any numismatic topic. It helps to expand the horizons of others who don't know much about currency - like me
Adding currency would be a good idea. I only have around 40 to 50 notes, but I would like to learn a lot more about the topic.
Come on Penny, lets talk currency. Colonial, Obsolete, Civil War, Fractional, Branch Bank, Federal Reserve, Small size, pick one and lets talk.
I would like to get more information about National Banknotes of the second charter period. Specifically the larger denominations of the "Value Backs". Thanks in advance for your input.
I could get more people on here, if there was a currency forum, yes yes. The one across the street don't like newcomers to the hobby.... or let alone the forum, i'd send them this way .... Cool cool ND, I'm more or less into older green seals from 30's - 50's in the higher denominations 10.00 and up. Just got me a currency book, so I'm readin up on that, and tryin to answer anybodys question, and my own, as I read... Sorry dollar, I couldn't give much information on nationals, don't really plan on getting into them...
Currency Forum I don't set policy for this forum and I'm quite new so please check out what I'm Telling you. I don't see anything wrong with discussing currency. It's in the area of Numismatics. May I suggest that you start your own threads, at first, and let everyone participate. If the subject matter warrants it you can ask the forum administrater if a special section can be set up. I know that I would like to learn more about both domestic and foreign currency. I would probably ask some pretty dumb questions at first. catman
There you go again Jody, your links 1 and 2 were very family based but then you have to have the public nudity of link 3. Oh my gosh is all I have to say buster and that is alot. Now where is my wife
Normally I do not plug other dealers, but check these out: http://www.donckelly.com Depending on the bank, most of these notes are relatively cheap.
The $5 Educational note is one of the most beautiful notes ever printed by ANY country. Thanks for the pics, Jody. Nick
