Currency errors/cost

    Sorry, no pics for this one.

    #1. Recently saw an XF or so series 1974 $1 F83469778F with 3rd print offset that puts the left s/n where the sig is for $90. This same degree of offset occurs on the whole 3rd printing. Not sure if this is considered a major or minor offset.

    #2. $1 series 1993 AU S/N E26514155 (D or B can't read my own writing lol) with 3/4 back to face transfer. The top 3/4 of the back transfer to the front. Priced at $35.

    Would you consider the prices to be good, bad or fair?

    I have always used Heritage as well as other Major Auction Houses for pricing on errors. In the small collection of errors I have, it is dominated by offset's with the exception of one cutting error.

    There are many books on errors and pricing is almost always what one is willing to pay. Check out similar errors and build a database on price history..thats all I can really offer at this time.
