Do you think that the canucks have it easier than us Americans when it comes to roll searching? I mean on one hand all their coins have a 'silver' edge, so it must not be as easy to detect silver coinage. They also stuck to their 80% silver composition for longer than we stuck to our 90% composition, possibly making it easier to find. On the other hand I would assume you would have to check every single coin for the date to see if it was pre-66 80% or 67-68 50%. Thus making it very tedious and time consuming. This just popped into my head at 12:30am and I had to post.

The new coinage is plated with nickel. It looks a lot different than silver. Silver coinage is very easy to see among the new coins.

Ha! Easy for a Canadian to say! I came across a 2004 Canadian Quarter (is that what you guys call a loonie?) and I was like "Score! Silver quarter!" *inspect* "Damn! It's a 2004 Canadian."

Down here in the States they look silver as can be. For instance, if someone handed me a roll of Canadian dimes or quarters and said "There is one silver in that roll, for sure!" I would more than likely have to check every single coin.
