Cud or IDB?

    This came out of a 100$ mint bag.
    This involves the rim, but looks more like a die chip than a cud. It partially covers the U in trust.
    What would you call it? I looked over the IDB's and cuds and it was not present.

    Interesting. A Cud is usually a larger piece that starts to break off the edge of the Die. But it's the same issue with Die Chips. Lets call it a Die Chud ;)

    I'm seeing a rim ding that comes over
    the U.

    I do not believe that is a die chip or crack.

    I didn't know that the Mint used $100 bags for pennies.

    It looks like a rim ding to me, too.

    As for the cent above I am wondering if it might be a well disguised lamination.
    I still have at least another 4,000 coins to go thru.
