very interesting here are my observations - excellent stuff agree with AJ must read - only 68k spent by THE high rollers becoz of lack of coins - consignor at heritage made a small LOSS Interesting times

Thanks Jack. I usually read all their reports, but I always think one has to read between the lines a little to get the real meaning of what they are saying.
As for the Lincolns being slow, she does not mean circ key and semikey collector dates gang, she means the 4,5 and 6 figure registry coins.... One prominent collector has decided to not play silly money fever competition, and the other passed away last year. Thats my take.
As another person who was in attendance I must echo what this show report says. There was no "buzz" on the floor. If you have been to a major coin show... you know the buzz, money moving, people laughing, silver clanking into buckets, overhearing people talking about big deals, excitement for the auction... it was all very subdued. I heard many comments about how the auction would be a lonely place that night as people just were not spending money. I personally had a great show but I was playing the part of a wholesale dealer and just walked the floor with fresh stuff I purchased since Baltimore (which was a much better show).
