Hello, first time here. I found this coin in my dad’s things. It was fun researching. Can anyone confirm my identification?
..i believe it's Crispus..i have 7 of him meself(here's 4),but i wouldn't know which RIC it is..welcome to CT..
Hearty welcome, @Julie0505. Regarding the attribution, you've already got me beat, having any sort of access to RIC. (...Is that online somewhere? no idea, apart from citations, whether on Wildwinds --haven't gotten that far-- or my, um, antiquated edition of Sear.) In a similar vein, your research (Ditto --not that I vote like that: ) already has me beat. --Late-breaking News Flash: just looked at the Wildwinds site; from here, it's looking very much like you nailed it.
should be like this one : https://www.wildwinds.com/coins/ric/crispus/_arles_RIC_143.jpg Crispus, AE follis, Arles, 317-318 AD. C-S across fields, Mintmark QARL. RIC VII Arles 143.
