Craigs list offer - Liberty and Indian Head nickels by the roll, $1 each or $35 for a roll. If they are in "good" or better - is this a fair price?
I have learned a valuable lesson in buying by the roll. More often than not the coins are a disappointment. I do not purchase by the roll any longer. My opinion only. Good luck
I agree, rolls are normally not a good buy at all! The only way I would buy a roll is if the seller allowed me to crack it open, right in front of them, before I pay for it!
I totally agree, if you’re buying an unseen role of just about any coins, you will get just what you paid for. There’s always a reason they are sold unseen
I totally agree. Looking even further, go on ebay and look at the # of offerings for "unopened" or "unsearched" rolls of pennies, nickels, etc. etc. I was looking for a clean 1960 proof set on ebay and I stated "Unopened" I get the package and in the lower right hand corner of the envelope it showed 1960 P.C., and next to it in someone's hand writing were the words "small date" it was not on the pic of the envelope and the info stated "you will get the same envelope you are viewing", It went back to them with a request for refund. I called them and ask them how in the hell did they know it was a small date if they had not opened it? Several excuses given. BUYER BEWARE. SEMPER FI
