Alright well since they're ICCS I guess I'm not cracking anything, I'm just cutting open.... I don't know if the 37 will grade or now because of the marks in the right field but we'll see. Both were graded numbers by ICCS, no details.

Old "Slabs" were ICCS, will be graded at NGC.

Pictures aren't the greatest, I forgot to change my white balance before I did these.

    Luster is booming on both.

No idea what ICCS called the 38 (aren't they more for foreign coins?).

The coin appears to be a 58, however. The luster is broken on the high points, and the fields are characteristic of a barely-circulated coin (just a bit of luster diminished in the open fields).

The small marks on the 37 shouldn't preclude a grade, although they appear unfortunately fresh and shiny in these pictures. Are the marks toned over and the pictures deceiving me?

Au details. Cleaned (overdipped) has that dull, lusterless look. There is wear in the high points, but minimal. Had it not been so obviously overdipped it would be a mid-grade AU.

Might just be my pics. The luster is booming in both.

I interpreted the first set of pics as having good luster, but not appearing like it due to photography.

The second set of pics confirm this.

However, there still appear to be luster breaks (especially in the fields, as previously mentioned) which limit it to a 58 grade.

And, while I don't think it has been overdipped, there is a 100% certainty that it has been dipped. No coin goes (almost) 200 years and stays blast white, as yours appears to be.

The 44-D $5 crack-out looks risky from here.

Not sure why you'd want to risk cracking the 44-D out of a straight-graded NGC holder. It looks like a typical, stripped NGC XF graded coin from the picture. I'd be very concerned that PCGS would send it back in a cleaned-details holder.

44-d I'd have sent as a crossover 38-d Jeff too as they could qc it

Added a few coins at the last minute. The 44-D and 64 2 cent came back same grades. Didn't photograph the Gold but here's the 64 2 cent

Toned silver eagles are basically an automatic AT designation from NGC at this time. Those basically have to go to PCGS

    I'm at 55 - 58 on your 1/2 dime . Depending on how the tpgs feel that day , I'd go 58 .
