Please excuse me Mods for posting this here. If it has to move then so be it. I wanted to post it here where traffic seems to flow with all of us. It started in this forum over a "bare coin" so maybe its ok. If you guys remember, a few days ago, my silly niece thought it was funny to show me a "bare coin". I posted it here because it was kind of funny and all. Chris got wind of it and sent me a beautiful graded coin for her! What a cool way to get kids excited about collecting and the beauty of coins! I will post some pictures when I give it to her around thanksgiving. I dont think shes ever seen a slabbed coin like this. I know she hasnt. I will explain it all to her and she will freak!!! Chris...what an outstanding and cool thing to do!!! You are what this community is all about!!! Cheers brother!!!!!
Don't say it too loud. I don't know if @cpm9ball would like people knowing that he does have a heart Kudos to you Chris. PS, I like how many posts I've seen recently talking about how awesome the members here are by sending eachother coins that they are looking for or just because. Makes me glad to be a CTer.
Bet she will love it. Look out, though, you may be creating a monster. Collecting is addicting! And Chris is a great guy. I don’t care what everybody else says.
Actually, this is a perfect place to post this thread. I'll wait to see if you can figure it out. Chris PS. I can't wait to see the expression on your niece's face. Be sure to tell her the history related to Sacagawea.
First, LOL. Now, excellent way to spark interest in the younger generation. I'd like to echo Santini, that was super nice of Chris.
There goes all my preconceived notions about @cpm9ball Kudos brother, may it come back to you tenfold.
@cpm9ball You deserve a lot of credit for all the ways you have been helping collectors over the years. Not just here but over on NGC, CU and other sites I cant remember. I'm proud to have known you all these years. If you don't make it to Fun, I'm going to take all of this back.
Chris...I suck! Ive been looking at this thing for 45 minutes LOL! Im just not as good as you guys. Im trying, I swear. I'll cut myself a little slack as I can get down in on the coin real good through the case. Im posting some pictures. See anything guys? Tell me where to photograph!!! I know this, its a beautiful coin.
Right up the road Heavy! Im just north of Tampa. I grew up in Detroit and after being transferred here...I refuse to leave. Been here about 15 years now.
I've started a list of people who hope to be there, and I'll shoot a PM to all so we can swap phones numbers sometime in December. Chris
