Finally sent an order to PCGS after using only NGC for a couple months. Only sent 2 coins. Here they are. NGC called the Franklin Artificially Toned. I found it in an old PCI holder, where it obtained the toning. The Morgan was in an OGH MS64PL - no variety on the holder. I lost the PL, but it's still worth more than the $151 I paid for it.

Beautiful coins, I'm particularly impressed with the Morgan and love seeing varieties.

I think NGC is trying to muscle up to a higher level in the TPG market.
Trying crossovers from PCGS isn't working; NGC is just returning them "as is".
Plus soon NGC won't accept ANY other TPG into their Register Sets.
The hobby is becoming less fun.

I wonder what those old PCI holders have to cause that toning. I guess an argument could be made for both AT and NT.

physics-fan3.14 You got any more of them.... prooflikes?

I see nothing AT about that Franklin. It is quite attractive.
