got these not to long ago but havent posted much lately because my dog passed away. Constantius II and Constantine, havent been able to find the ref. on either yet though, and I'm not sure if there just isnt an ex or just not a visable one on Constantine.
heres a few older (no pun intended) additions I dont think I've posted yet. Constantius Gallus and Constantine II
Nice coins, I especially like the last one. I'm sorry to hear about your dog mate... I know how that can be.
The Constantine I Sol looks like RIC 40 page 300 Vol. VII Rome mint. The exergual choices are RP, RS, RT and RQ. If you use imagination you may see RP on this one. It is a common coin according to RIC. I IDed this using the ERIC II galleys I have on loan from Rasiel Suarez and this is exactly the kind of coin this book is good to ID. It has legends but lacks the mintmark so all you do is follow down the choices to find the CS in the field and note that it was used at Rome (315-6 AD). The others show their mintmarks so they can be found in RIC directly on on lists derived from RIC at least as easily. You already did the hard work realizing the 2 soldiers with a chi-rho on their standard is Constantine II. The Gallus has the .S. in field which will help track it properly after you read the mintmark. Unfortunately it lacks the last letter so the workshop will not be known on this one either. Have fun with the chase.
I havnt had a dog die but ive had horses die.. i know how hard it can be. Sorry for the loss. The coins are very nice tho
