found a neat one of Constantius II a couple days ago. Pictures not to bad, but the obv. looks much better in hand. The other is a modern fake of Domitilla II. Constantius II AE3. FL IVL CONSTANTIVS NOB C, laureate, draped & cuirassed bust right / GLORIA EXERCITVS, two soldiers holding spears & shields with two standards between them, RBT in ex. RIC 157 sear5 #2888 Diva Domitilla the Younger Denarius. Struck by her brother, Domitian, 82-83 AD. DIVA DOMITILLA AVGVSTA, draped bust right / FORTVNA AVGVST, Fortuna standing left, holding rudder & cornucopia. RSC 3. 4.7 g
Nice... the detail on the two soldiers on the reverse of the constans is excellent! It's great to support your local coin shop. I wish my coin shop would carry more Roman coins, they have decent Late Roman Bronzes bin to pick through at $10 each, sometimes one finds a winner amongst them, but most aren't very good at all, and the few silver Denarii or Antoninianii they do have, are quite overpriced most of the time. Great additions Randy. The new pic of that Constans really shows off how beautiful a coin she is.
