George III stamped.jpg Here is another coin from my collection. It is an old George III half penny with a circular stamp with what looks like the letters BCFP. Does anybody know what these letters stand for? Any idea about its value?

I think your counterstamps were just placed randomly with no apparent purpose FMV. There are literally thousands of coins out there stamped with initials, numbers, geometric designs or any number of other things. Most are impossible to trace to an issuer. This seems to be one of those.

Thanks BRandM, I just thought that maybe somebody would have seen this mark before or would know where to look to identify it. You never know... Cheers!
