counterfit?

    I don't see anything out of the ordinary, a 1979 P that I have looks identical....

    If it is counterfiet, I would love to meet the guy that counterfiets a penny with 6 billion copies out there...... :D

    its just missing mint nark

    The one-cent coins don't carry a P mint mark for Philidelphia..... even up to current production. Nickels and up started receiving P mint marks in 1980.

    are they worth anything the nickels with a p mint mark

    All coins now carry a mintmark except the cent from Philadelphia.

    Very high grade examples carry a premium. Modern coins pulled from circulation do not carry numismatic value.
