counterfit dollar?

now i know the national dealer meantioned it about a dollar or five (cant remember) it has a strange marking next to the 1 (or 5) and it looked like a spider or owl does anyone remember because if they do where is it on the forum

There is an owl on the front of the dollar bill, in the upper lefthand corner of the 1 in the upper right of the bill.

 

is it suposed to be there?

 

I don't know that it explains anything, but here's the thread you are referring to from last month.

Regarding the 26 states on the five dollar bill, are the 24 other states on a different bill, or do they just not appear anywhere else?

 

I checked out the picture, it was like an ink blot test at first. Are we talking about the design under the number 1 in the upper corners?

 

I believe, Jaeru, that the image on the back of the five shows the names of the states as they appear on the Lincoln memorial. The other states are on different sides of the memorial, but these 26 are on the side that is represented on the back of the five FRN.

Is that right or wrong, oh ye wise men?
