Because the date is invalid, this is not so much a counterfeit but more of a novelty or fantasy piece.

Looks like a nice counterfeit 1 oz bullion coin.

 

It is also magnetic. At least the one that I bought for a quarter is.

 

Is it 1907 or 1901? Looks like 01 to me.
