I need to study up on counterfeit coin ID'ing. I've been looking online at the available books but cannot decide because the latest edition date is 4-5 years old or the book is more into grading coins. This might help but I'm a meat and potatoes man.
I need you, my colleagues, to help me in this search. Thanks zeke

There is no single book that will provide what you want. You need a dozen or more. And some of them you will find are 50 years old, or more, and they are among the best there is.

It would be a lot easier if you pin down exactly what kind of counterfeits you want to study about. The answer you want depends on what denomination and what series of that denomination.

My main interest is for detecting counterfeit Morgans. Thanks.
I guess a trip to the book stores and libraries( at least two) is my next
item on my agenda. Question: Would a coin dealer be offended if I brought my own weight scale with me?
