could this be an (RPM)?

    #2-- looks like (MD) because of the date.

    Probably MD if the doubling you are seeing is in the same place as the date.

    I is actually something that is unique to the zincolns. It is called plating shift doubling and is quite common.

    I would say MD look at Lincolns bust it has an effect similar to the date and MM. But I am definately not the expert

    If you see the same effect on the date, it is not an RPM. An RPM means it was handpunched twice in a slightly different location - and would not affect the date at all.

    That's no Rpm its a form of die deterioration doubling.There's no such term as plating shift doubling .there is no mechanism which plating can shift.
