Could this be an error ?

    I'm a novice at this and new to the group. Could someone take a look a tell me if it's an error.

    Imho, it is not an error.
    It appears to be the markings of a coin crimping machine.

    Yes, whatever happened to that coin occurred outside the mint, so not an error.

    Not this one. I don't see the circular scratch. More like a curved stain.

    That was my thought as well. Just a weird discoloration pattern.
