I see a some microscopic outlines on the letters. I like the top of the "A." Unfortunately, if it is or is not, I don't think 99.9% of the true "coinhead's" in the world care.
Exactly, that’s just how that struck up, it wasn’t how the die looked. This is what you’re looking for in a doubled die...
In 1892 the Mint used the same process for adding the date to coinage as was used for the mintmark. It was hand-punched into the individual working dies. Therefore if this same doubling exists on any of the letters only confirms ejection doubling or some other type of strike doubling.
