Could this be a coin?

  1. So basicaly all the time i liked metal detecting and historical stuff so i sold my ps4 and bought a metal detector. And i found this thing on a field in Latvia, it looks like silver and is quite heavy for its size IMG_20181106_195204.jpg

    I am following this because I am interested. I don't know the ancient history of Latvia but I know the ancients guys here are incredibly well versed and if anyone has a clue.. It will be them..... But more than that, reading a post that a young man sold his video gaming machine to fund a metal detector is probably the most awesome post I ever read on CT.

    My guess is a Byzantine lead seal. You can see if you can make an indentation on the thinnest part with your fingernail.

    Could be...what is its weight and measure?

  10. And actualy not so heavy just about 2-3 grams

    Then may be it´s a fifth century nummus. Just guessing here...
