Could this be a coin?

    I bought it along some roman coins. It is 0.8x1.0cm in size

    It does not appear to be an ancient Greek coin. I suppose it could be a heavily worn, clipped and mutilated late Roman bronze, but it's probably just a piece of metal. Not sure what its original use was. Certainly looks ancient, though.

    I dont think it has been altered. It is symetric in all its sides and angles. I thought it might have been from pre celtic period in these parts...

    Pretty sure its a Roman Republic 4th Century Aes Formatum , these come in all sizes weights and forms.
