I'm not very experienced in Ancient Coins, so I have no clue what I have in my possession. This coin is exactly 1 1/4" in diameter. The sound it makes when dropped is a VERY high pitched sound. I've been told it may be a Greek coin, but they weren't very certain. Could anyone possibly identify this coin and give me some input on when it may have been created?
Yeah, looks like George III. Something british. Just noticed your diameter. I guess that'd be a penny.
Thank you. So much. I've looked for hours trying to find this coin, when all I had to do was ask you guys for help. Thank you! I've done what research I can and have come to the realization that what I have is a 1799 Britannia Farthing. Again, thank you!
